Content and Community Coordinator

StartMail, a trusted and secure encrypted email provider from the Netherlands, is seeking a sharp writer and skilled communicator to support StartMail’s content development and online community engagement. As the Content and Community Coordinator, you will be a key-member of the StartMail team, directly contributing to the growth of our user-base by driving privacy and product awareness and growing our online presence.

The Content and Community Coordinator is a cross-functional role that works closely with the Marketing, Product, and Support teams and proactively delivers content to help people learn about privacy, personal data rights and StartMail. You will be responsible for planning, writing and publishing digital content across our blog, newsletter and social media. In this role, you will use content marketing and community management know-how to build a stronger, tighter knit, and continually growing StartMail community.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize, document, execute, and manage digital content (blog, newsletter, social media, release notes) from conception to execution to analysis – we want thought leaders and privacy advocates

  • Day-to-day management of community engagement on FB, TW, LI, Reddit and other channels with help from Support, Product and Marketing teams

  • Collaborate with various departments to plan, design, schedule and publish digital content

  • Share industry research and Social Listening for trending content, conversations, topics, events and news

  • Report on content performance and insights

Requirements

  • Interest in the technology and privacy industry - experience in the field is a plus

  • 3+ years of agency-side or brand experience developing weekly blogs, social media creative, editing copy, and engaging with an audience

  • Extensive knowledge of social media best practices

  • Ability to act on the basis of data/KPIs Confident writer with sound editorial judgement – flawless writing and editing abilities

  • Fluent English speaker and writer – knowledge of German and/or Dutch a bonus

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Innate curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experience with email marketing and SEO/SEA is an advantage

  • Commitment to excellence — working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy
